Gothenburg, Sweden – Micvac, the Swedish food-tech company transforming the ready-to-eat segment, today announced the successful closing of a new investment round totalling 24 million SEK, including 20 million SEK in equity and 4 million SEK in complementary loan financing. The round was led by the company’s largest shareholders, Industrifonden and K-Svets Venture. The capital will be used to accelerate Micvac’s global scale-up and strengthen its leadership as a technology supplier enabling sustainable food production.

Food producers shouldn’t have to choose between shelf life and food quality. But traditional pasteurisation methods force the industry to compromise. At Micvac, we offer a different path — a system that enables high-quality meals, extended shelf life, less waste, and greater cost efficiency” said Michael Bogdanski, CEO of Micvac.

Micvac offers a patented in-line cooking and pasteurisation system that helps food producers deliver high quality meals with longer shelf life. The newly secured funding will support investments across three strategic areas:

  • Expanding commercial reach by strengthening sales and marketing capabilities and increasing our presence in priority international markets.
  • Advancing innovation through continued investment in our product pipeline, broadening our offering for adjacent segments.
  • Scaling operations and supply chain by investing in manufacturing of equipment and packaging materials, improving supply reliability and overall operational efficiency.

This funding gives us the momentum to expand with purpose and pace,” added Bogdanski. “We’re proud to have the continued backing of Industrifonden and K-Svets Venture as we enter the next phase of growth.”

With rising demand for chilled ready meals and increased focus on sustainability, Micvac is well positioned to become the global standard for efficient food production systems.
