Press release: Caroli Foods Group launches range of ready meals using Micvac technology

The local leader in processed meat products on the Romanian market, Caroli Foods Group has launched a range of chilled ready meals under their brand Maestro. The 10 new recipes are prepared using the innovative Micvac in-pack cooking and pasteurization technology to meet the increased customer demands.

To meet the demands of their consumers on the South-Eastern European market, Caroli Foods Group, part of the global Sigma Group, has launched an assortment of chilled ready meals. The 10 new recipes, under the brand name Maestro, are made with fresh ingredients and inspired by home-cooked meals.
– We are actively listening to what consumers prefer, and then walking the extra mile to offer them products made of natural ingredients. That is why we partnered with Micvac in launching for the first time our Maestro ready meals in Romania. This innovative patented technology – that ensures the pasteurization and sealing the dishes directly in the trays, including the “smart” valves – has already been validated by Western European consumers, and we believe Romanians will also fully enjoy its benefits.

High customer and consumer satisfaction and continued development
It is the first time the Micvac technology has been used on the Romanian market and it has already seen a successful start. The unique technology enables a dish to retain both its flavour and nutrition for 60 days without any additives or preservatives. After the launch during the summer of 2021, increased sales led to the launch of additional recipes in November, with even more planned new launches in the future.
